Sometimes couples tend to overlook invitations in their wedding planning journey.Invites can be as simple or as luxurious as you want. An invite can set the scene for your entire wedding and what guests are to expect on the day(s) of your wedding. A perfect example of what luxury wedding invitations can achieve can be seen with the recent extravagant 14-carat-gold-plated wedding invitation for Vanessa Williams (actress from Ugly Betty & Desperate Housewives). Glitz and glamour is very much on trend for 2016 and these invites certainly follow that.

Wedding invitations can be as luxurious or as simple as you want.  A major wedding trend for 2016 is glitz and glamour.  Glitter and shiny is what lots of couples are looking at for this year.  Monograms and unusual print is also very popular.

Location is also important to couples today.  We are seeing a lot of couples look for stationary that represent the location of their wedding.  For example, a couple getting married in New York would have the city’s skyline as part of the design of their invitation.

This does not discount the DIY approach.  A lot of couples for 2016 are looking at handmade, one off pieces.  Although some are doing this themselves, many are going to professional stationary companies to have their invites commissioned.

Adorn Invitations have clearly set the trend for invites for 2016.

Thank you again to all the team at Adorn Invitations for sending us their beautiful designs.
